Abstract

Now that the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche has commenced with support from all over the world, public interest is also coming to focus on the surrounding area. The City of Dresden has confirmed that it intends to reconstruct the architectural ensemble of historic city buildings around the Frauenkirche. This includes building replicas of a number of outstanding buildings which will shape the quality and standards of reconstruction architecture.
