Abstract
The court of Justice is a famous monument, designed by J. Poelaert around the turn of this century. During the occupation of Belgium in World War II, one of the domes was severely damaged by fire. Moreover the totality of the structure has undergone severe "ageing" phenomena, so that the decision to restore the building (and the way to do it) is subject to the analysis of the actual state of the structure.
