Abstract

Lehmann Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zabytkami, Instytut Techniki Budowlanej, Muzeum Pierwszych Piastow na Lednicy, Poland ABSTRACT Interdisciplinary examinatiuons of building materials from monumental object, of 1U- Lh century at Lednioa Island. Particular attention was focused on material of mortar joints in walls. This is gypsum morLar, whose composition does not differ from present day gypsum mortars, however it holds characteristic structure with symptoms of definite deterioration. Recognized symptoms of joint's material deterioration determine further conservation treatment of stone walls.
