Abstract
The sustainable development of Integrated Transport Systems, within the global challenge of open-market competition, requires a most productive usage of space and time particularly in the case of traditional European Ports, of their specialised Terminals Operation and Logistic support. Nowadays Maritime Traffics are not congested as those on Road and Rail ways, but problems certainly exist at Port interface where goods flows are delayed by bottlenecks of varied nature: poor cargo handling logistics (info, means and spaces management), bureaucratic hindrance (repeat documents compliance and checks), undermined modal interlinks, etc. All such delays develop into useless costs reducing the Transport system Productivity.
