Abstract
Three different wave propagation models are considered to provide the input data for the design of vertical wall breakwaters. Numerical investigations carried out with reference to several situations highlight the importance of the choice of model and show that the most realistic one, which takes into account also the saturation process, leads to higher values for the stability safety factors.
