Abstract

Several advantages of producing 3D digital models of civil engineering designs and the way this advanced tool overcomes drawbacks inherent to the conventional design process is explained in this paper. Three cases, namely, a two level road junction, a new highway and a new university campus are included to emphasise the feasibility of 3D digital models in real life projects.
