Abstract
One of the most important tasks for railway systems is the maintenance of the existing infrastructure to guarantee a safe run with high quality. The consequences of these periodical tasks are barrings and speed restrictions on the main track which cause delays of the trains passing the maintenance site. Therefore it is necessary to construct a new timetable based on the existing timetable taking into consideration influences of the hindrances on the train runs in comparison to the intended tolerances. These new timetables will be the basis for the railway staff to manage the traffic during the maintenance works. Until today these timetables are drawn by the planners by aid
