Abstract
This paper looks at indoor air qualities in a bus. Two experiments were done during an outbound and return journey with 24 passengers plus a driver. The focus of attention was carbon dioxide concentration. The permitted value 1000 ppm of CO2 was exceeded during the trip there and at the beginning of the return journey, the maximum measured concentration was 2400 ppm. The calculations of minimum share of fresh air to provide what was required by the standard conditions were undertaken. Too high CO2 concentration may contribute to dangerous situations on roads. Keywords: carbon dioxide emissions, indoor air quality, bus, travel security.
