Abstract
A finite element model is derived for flow-induced instability analysis of multi-layered, filament wound FRP pipelines resting on equispaced elastic supports. The critical flow velocity causing instability is obtained by taking into account the anisotropic properties of pipes material, the elastic properties of pipeline supports and flow parameters. A representative example is solved and discussed.
