Abstract
A measurement technique for the electric and magnetic properties of powdered ferrites has been developed. This technique allows one to determine relative permittivity and permeability of powdered materials. Measurements were taken in a coaxial transmission line, which guarantees the broadband frequency measurements. The calculations were based on evaluation of the scattering parameters of measured powdered material and two plastic walls. The values of relative permittivity ( ε’, ε”) and permeability ( µ’, µ”) have been done for ferrite powder in the frequency range from 200 MHz to 1200 MHz. Keywords: absorbing materials, permittivity and permeability measurements.
