Abstract
Chaotic and multiple periodic vibrations due to clearance Z. Hossain Department of Electronic-Mechanical Engineering Nagoya University, Japan Abstract Preloading and friction effects in clearance problem have been demonstrated in this study. Nonlinear responses including chaos and multiple periods of the clearance type system have been investigated through simulation and extensive experiment. The investigation has been based on bifurcation and frequency response curves. All data processing and displaying techniques have been taken in consideration. The nonlinear phenomena has been investigated for a wide frequency zone.
