Abstract
A test for concrete fracture material model parameters V P. Reficha Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic Abstract The development of cracks in concrete and similar quasi-brittle materials may be assessed by nonlocal material models of continuum theory. The minimum parameters of such models include the fracture energy, tension strength and characteristic length. A test is proposed for the determination of these parameters together with a parameter identification method. Parameter identification is indispensable since only indirect tests are possible. The test arrangement and instrumentation are relatively simple and inexpensive so that large enough series of specimens can be tested for sufficient statistical relevancy. The pilot tests testify that the test is promising. 1 Introduction Material models for concrete differ widely in physical background and intended application scope. Present contribution is confined
