Abstract
Dynamic analysis of the free surface of magnetic fluid by the complex magnetic field and fluid velocity Y. Mizuta Div. of Quantum Physics Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan Abstract This paper reports a method to analyze the peculiar free surface deforma- tion of magnetic fluid just like a set of cones or spikes. The method is based on the complex magnetic field and the complex fluid velocity assumed ana- lytic, and those prepared in the Flat Space are mapped conformally into the Real Space through a mapping relation including the inclination angle 0 and the contraction rate r, which express even the multi-valued shape where usual methods are already powerless. For the dynamic analyses, cou- pled evolution equations are derived with few restrictions. Furthermore, their solution evolved from the modified stationary solution as the initial state is investigated by the spectral method. 1 Introduction Peculiar deformation of the free surface of magnetic fluid like a set
