Abstract

Thermomechanical coupling in localized damage of concrete is investigated in this paper. Concrete is here treated as a porous material where hygro-thermic and mechanical effects at high temperature are considered. For this purpose a fully coupled model with non-linearities due to high temperatures are included. It is shown the importance of such a kind of coupling. 1 Introduction Concrete is treated as multiphase system where the voids of the skeleton are filled partly with liquid- and partly with a gas-phase. When temperatures higher than standard ones are considered, several non-linear phenomena must be taken into account. Such phenomena involve not only heat conduction and vapour diffusion, but also liquid water
