Abstract
The influence matrix of a body force concentrated at a point is obtained for a semi-strip composed of an isotropic homogeneous elastic material. The semi-strip is located between two absolutely rigid half-planes t/<0 and y>b as shown in Figure 1. Contact without friction and detachment is assumed along the edges y = 0 and y = 6, while the edge x = 0 is assumed fixed. The entries of the influence matrix are obtained in a form of trigonometric series which are entirely summed up to elementary functions allowing direct computational implementations. 1 Introduction Clearly, the problem in the title is associated with the notion of a Green's matrix of the corresponding boundary value problem of the theory of elas- ticity that is stated over the region Q (see Figure 1).
