Abstract
The load-bearing capacity of composite constructions comprised of reinforced concrete and subsequently applied textile reinforcement may be verified with the aid of numerical simulations provided the (physical) non-linear behaviour is correctly accounted for. Besides the FE layered model already in use, an extended layered model (multi-reference plane model = MRM) for this purpose is also presented. The numerical simulation also includes time- dependent effects such as system modification and loading process. The new type of safety assessment resulting from the latter is based on fuzzy modelling and possibility theory. The theory of fuzzy random variables may also be addi- tionally implemented.
