Abstract
The subject of analysis is temperature field in cold room foundations, protected from freezing by a system of heating pipes. The pipes can include electric heater or hot liquid medium. The foundations consist of several layers. In some of them freezing of water is possible. The considered example has the form of a typical transient initial-boundary heat conduction value problem with the inner heat source. The problem is additionally complicated by the complex form of some limiting conditions and phase change. The problem was solved with using finite element method in two-dimensional area. The results of calculations and measurements were compared. Nomenclature 3^ -
