Abstract
A new random boundary element formulation applied to high frequencies phenomena Michel Viktorovitch, Fabrice Thouverez and Louis Jezequel Solid mechanics laboratory, Ecole Centrale de Lyon, Ecully France EMail: michelv@mecasola. ec-lyon.fr abstract The basis of a new boundary element method adapted to the non modal field is presented. The formulation employs the frequency domain dynamic fundamental solutions of the problem. The integral equations are multiplied by the kinematic variables and random parameters are introduced in the geometry of the structures. The mean of the new equations is considered, and the new variables of the formulation are the average products of the kinematic variables. This formulation is tested on different structures, such as beams, rods and assembled monodimensionnal structures. The cases of ponctual and extended loadings are considered. 1 Introduction It is generally impossible to carry out analytical solutions of co
