Abstract

An indirect boundary element method is developed for the solution of peri- odic acoustic problems with impedance boundary condition. This is accom- plished by developing additional integral equations based on the relationship between the surface potentials and impedance values. A beneficial feature of this development is that it eliminates the irregular behavior of the ex- terior periodic acoustic solution when the solution frequency matches the eigenfrequency of the corresponding interior acoustic problem.
