Abstract
BEM enables simulations which are complementary to the measured data. The simulation systems can be used to predict performance of machinery, or extract a meaningful information in Non Destructive Testing (NDT), of material properties and flaws, validate models, improve design solutions and serve as an on-line units of new devices which are partially based on theoretical modeling. 1 Introduction Acoustic diagnostics of defects in solids has the ability to mark global and local changes of material properties in solid bodies. The acoustic NDT uses displacements data that are measured on the surface of the examined body during excitation to identify defects in solids. This search be refined as to give locations and sizes of defects by applying BEM simulation techniques.
