Abstract
Introducing a quality improvement programme: A case study P. Smart ABSTRACT Strategic Systems International Limited (SSI) have developed, supplied and supported integrated business control systems for the manufacturing industry for over ten years. Increasingly, SSI's clients and potential clients require conformance to international quality standards; therefore a programme has been initiated to achieve ISO9001 certification. As all areas of the business contribute to the quality of our products and services, the Quality Management System (QMS) encompasses the whole company. In conjunction with the objective of achieving certification, a company-wide improvement programme based on Total Quality Management principles has been established to provide a framework for implementing the QMS and the opportunity to increase SSI's future competitiveness.
