Abstract
A numerical solution, using the finite volume approach, was developped for the simulation of non newtonian pseudoplastic fluid flow through an abrupt circular enlargement. This procedure is applied to investigate the effects of differents parameters of the problem under consideration . The results obtained show the stabilizing effect of the flow behavior index. 1. Introduction At present, most real fluids encountered in industries dealing with food fluids, polymer solutions, biological fluids are non-newtonian [1-4]. The shear stress is no longer proportional to shear rate, the viscosity is a function of the latter. The simplest and commonest behavior is pseudoplasticity. The mathematical characterization of these fluids involves th
