Abstract

An intelligent system for planning machining process of stamping die of automobile body is presented in this paper. Traditionally, the selection of complex cutting conditions for fabrication of a stamping die had to be handled manually. As a result, the poor decisions and planning for the tool path, removal rate as well as cutter size often occurred and resulted in shorter tool lives, longer wait periods and consequently lower productivity.
