Abstract
The rapidly growing need for defining and solving inverse problems has become apparent during the last two decades in industrial and academic engineering. Simultaneously with the development of traditional deterministic methods, new approaches based on methodology from artificial intelligence appear to have overcome some the limitations of deterministic methods. In this paper, an application of a genetic algorithm to solve an Inverse Heat Conduction Problem (IHCP) is presented.
