The tools are intended to analyse and to assess software. They allow tasks to be solved as if by an expert in the area. The tools can be used for software testing and debugging. The new relational approach to the software measurement underlying the tools and the possibilities of the approach are considered. INTRODUCTION At present a considerable part of the software product assessment is done by assessors 'by hand'. Here various programming tools are used to measure program's and documentation characteristics and later on peoples make an assessment using results of the measurement. The results of the assessment depend on asse
