Abstract

The occurrence of problems in a newly delivered software system raise concerns regarding the quality of that system. Techniques are required to enable the quality of the system to be measured and that measure compared with any available industry norms. In this paper the results of a project are described which analysed a large software system for a UK electricity company to assess that system's quality, with respect to existing industry norms using a metrics-based approach. The system which was assessed is a project management system which is based on the use of Work Flow technology. 1.
