Abstract

It is generally admitted that there is more and more need for men and women who have appropriate foundations not only in science, technology and arts subjects, but who have professional skill and knowledge in computer science and information technology as well. This paper gives the aims of our recently established education course: Engineer of Information Technology at the University of Miskolc. We explain why we have selected the engineering approach instead of the scientific one for this course, summarise the concepts of the curriculum and our education methods.
