Abstract
The objective of this analysis is to model the quasi-steady state vortices that have been observed in two-dimensional simulations of vortex roll-up in stratified shear layers. We use a time-independent nonlinear critical layer analysis to find a family of steady state finite-amplitude waves in the Holmboe model of an in viscid stratified shear layer.
