Abstract
A new fluid to fluid heat exchanger with the following characteristics has been developed: Effective, compact, pressure resistant, acceptable pressure drop and has low weight. This new type of heat exchanger consists of a flat oval aluminium tube which has been twisted around its own longitudinal axis. By doing so, the fluids inside as well as outside will be forced to change position and a turbolar flow pattern is likely to occur and a better heat transfer coefficient will be obtained. By twisting the flat oval tube the surface will be somewhat extended. By twisting the flat oval tube the resistance against pressure will increase progressively with an increasing twist angle (patent pending) This solution is obvious, where an efficient, compact and cost competitive fluid to fluid heat exchan
