Abstract
This article describes a new method for the evaluation of the permeabilities of fiber reinforcements, which are required for the simulation of the Resin Transfer Moulding process for composite materials. It is indeed found that the existing methods for permeability measurements have a lot of drawbacks. The proposed method is a so-called mixed numerical/experimental method for material property identification. The principle of a mixed numerical /experimental method is to compare an experimental observation on a test set-up with a computed observation using a numerical simulation of the same set-up. The permeability parameters in the numerical mode
