Abstract
A general method for the treatment of global constraints in the framework of the Finite Element Method (F.E.M.) is described. Herein, global constraints appear in the simulation of the Resin Transfer Molding (R.T.M.) process when both the pressure field (local quantity) and the flow rates (global constraints) have to be calculated simultaneously^. The method is first compared with a classical one called capacitance matrix method. Several injection ports of different nature can be managed simultaneously (in one resolution) with this approach. Another advantage is that the technique only necessitates small modifications to any finite element code. Two examples are presented for il
