Abstract
In this article, two Internet applications written in Mathematica are intro- duced. The applications enable reading/writing e-mail and browsing WWW pages within Mathematica in the same fashion with other general Internet applications. "In-place-evaluation" of Mathematica expressions embedded in e-mails and WWW pages is supported. For implementing the applica- tions, MathLink and new properties of Mathematica 3.0, especially note- book manipulating functions, are used. The possibilities of Mathematica, as an Internet accessing tool and as a software platform, will be discussed. 1 Introduction A variety of information flows
