Abstract
Reversed torsional fatigue test was conducted at room temperature for two ferritic steels in a solenoid coil cooled by water. Specimen was not constrained longitudinally in order to avoid the additional stress induced by magnetostriction. The tested materials are medium carbon steel and reduced activation Ferritic steel which is adopted as the first wall material of international thermonuclear experimental reactor. Magnetic flux density in specimen in the magnetic circuit in- cluding fatigue test machine, about 0.6 Tesra for S45C and about 2 T for F-82H, were in rotation magnetization condition. In the magnetic field, Structure anisotropy of drawed S45C bar and rolled F-82H plate increased micro crack initiation in the direction of anisotropy and helped
