Abstract
The body force method is extended so as to be applicable to the analysis of the elastic problem of an arbitrarily shaped plate with an inclusion. The most characteristic point of the present method is use of the elastic field due to an isolated force acting in an infinite medium containing a circular inclusion as the fundamental solution. By using this elastic field, we can treat easily various problems of homogeneous, inhomogeneous, finite arid infinite plates, only by changing the material constants in a matrix and an inclusion, or by varying a radius of the inclusion in the range of zero to infinity.
