Abstract
The air quality in the city of San Nicolás, located in the North of Buenos Aires Province, is affected by the different urban and industrial activities carried out there. In order to assess the impact produced by such activities since 1999, there has been a continuous monitoring of the atmospheric contaminants such as CO, HC, NOx, SO2, O3 and PM10, in the town centre where the streets are crowded with traffic, and in the industrial area where the vehicular traffic emissions are negligible.
