Abstract
Cumalıkızık is a historical place that has very old, typical ancient streets and houses near Bursa city in the region of the northwest part of Turkey. This paper discusses the policy on the cultural and historical heritage of Turkey with this sample within the sustainable point of view. The main purpose of this study is to introduce this village’s social, historical and architectural characteristics and the problems of conservation policy in Turkey.
