Abstract
The current increasing interest of the main international organizations involved in the nuclear field in the protection of the environment from ionising radiation indicates that, in the near future, risk assessors will be confronted with the necessity to take this category of stressors into account in their evaluations. However, contrary to the chemical field, no consensus nor recognized methodology exists today to calculate a radiation risk for the environment. Like for humans, part of this calculation consists of a radiological dose assessment, to determine the quantity of energy deposited in any organism due to its exposure to the radiation. For humans, dose coefficients have been establi
