Abstract

The paper analyses the problem of calculation of the average annual pollution loads of urban area storm water. Without the knowledge of annual pollution load discharged by storm water into water resources, there can be no planning and management of water quality and coastal sea. There are several calculation methods. However, the method of calculation of annual pollution loads has not been developed for karstic areas; thus a new method named \“Split” is proposed. Characteristics of that method are shown in the case study of the Kastela Bay.
