Abstract
Stream-aquifer interaction is a common occurrence in nature. Such problems are difficult to solve analytically since the initial and boundary conditions are not completely known. In this study, the role of a barrier effect for stream-aquifer interaction is investigated. In this problem, the solution of the unsteady state flow equation implied the groundwater movement has been obtained numerically. To solve this, the explicit finite difference scheme has been used. The solutions obtained have been shown graphically and discussed in detail. 1 Introduction Groundwater interacted as a result of seepage from irrigation, artificial recharge, precipitation, evaporation, and stream waters. Stream-aquifer interaction depends on the variation of free water levels on stream or aquifer. Also, a hy
