Abstract
Mathematical models are efficient tools for decision making in water management. Since dissolved oxygen (DO) is a vital factor for all aquatic organisms, many water quality models have been developed to compute the DO concentrations in water. Though biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) is closely related to the DO value, the oxygen demand of deposit mud is also important. Therefore, control of mud deposition is necessary in improving the DO level in the water, which can be done by controlling flow velocity in the river. One
