Abstract
Diesel participate matter, emissions and correlation to fuel properties and engine performance R. Gonzalez-Oropeza^, A.F. ABSTRACT Main objective of this paper is to present pollution related problems, associated with particulate matter emissions (PME) from Diesel engines. A brief review is made of the mechanisms of particles formation due to incomplete combustion and several other factors, like fuel composition, combustion chamber geometry and the physico-chemical processes that occur after combustion. A brief report is included, showing the experimental results, with the main goal to compare these results with the theories of particles formation and to establish the relationships with the engine performance conditions. The design factors and fuel properties are also correlated to PME. The experimental trials were
