Abstract
The dispersion of gases emitted by point sources located near U-shape buil- dings was studied in a boundary layer wind tunnel. The wind direction, source location and the building height were varied. The concentration field behind the U-shape building is compared to the concentration field behind a cube with the same dimensions. It is shown that dependent on the source location the different building shapes lead to maximum concen- trations which differ up to 60 per cent.
