Abstract
The temporal and spatial variability of air pollution concentrations and precipitation chemistry in Saxony/Germany W. Kuechler, S. Conradt Saxony State Department of Environment and Geology, D-01436 Radebeul, Germany ABSTRACT Many data sets on air quality in Saxony have been obtained in the past. Methods, problems and conclusions of interpretation are being presented. Owing to an comprehensive changing in emission structure since 1990 the immission and deposition patterns are assumed to be modified for the most part. For selected stations in Saxony the long time trends of different air pollution components in relation to meteorological conditions were studied. To obtain more detailed and complex data sets a special environmental research project for Eastern Germany (SANA; 1991-1995) including different measuring campaigns was initiated. First trend analysis results showed a tight relationship to mete
