Abstract
Comparing investigation of aerosols and wet deposit samples from Leipzig and the rural measurement station Melpitz U. Ratzlaff, K. Miiller, E. Briiggemann Institut fur Troposphdrenforschung e.V., Permoserstr. 15, D-04303 Leipzig, Germany ABSTRACT Aerosol and wet deposit samples from two sampling locations were analysed and compared. Wet deposit samples are characterised by volume, acidity, conductivity, and main water soluble ions. Aerosol samples (PM-10) are characterised by mass, soot content, and ionic content. Statistical methods are used to describe and compare analytical results. Dependent on the great changes in industrial production, traffic and agriculture in the formerly GDR we found significant decrease for SO^" and Ca^ and increase for NH/ and NO/ INTRODUCTION The project "SANA"( Scientific observations program for the rehabilitation of the atmosphere above the new countries of Germany ), sponsored by the Bundesminister fur Forschung nnd
