Q. ?/ (M AWm Am^ze^e, - ?/ SUMMARY This paper comprises the methodology used and the results obtained after application of cluster analysis to a surface air quality and meteorological automatic network database. The paper aims at defining, on the basis of exclusively meteorological parameters, the different dispersive standard situations previously identified by experimental studies on the area of Bilbao (Spain). Both methods prove complementary stages and follow one another in time.
