Abstract
Temporal and spatial influences of pollutant emission sources in the Barcelona geographical area M. Costa, L. Cremades. J.M. Baldasano Institut de Tecnologia i Modelitzacio Ambiental ABSTRACT This paper analyzes the temporal and spatial influences that emission sources have on the air quality of a multi-source study area, using the EMITEMA-EIM emission model and the reference year of 1990. The model has been applied to the Barcelona geographical area. The anthropogenic emission sources considered have been road traffic (hot emissions, cold start emissions and evaporative emissions), air traffic, domestic heating, gas stations while the biogenic sources have been the hydrocarbon emissions from forests. The spatial resolution of the emissions is 1x1 knf and the time scale is user-selectable (hourly-daily-monthly- yearly). The pollutants studied have been CO, NO%, particles, CH^ SC^ as well as several organic volatile compounds (alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and aldehydes). INTR
