Abstract
. A mass conservative method for solving the one- dimensional equation of atmospheric pollutants transport, based on a finite volume method is de- rived and discussed. In order to avoid numerical diffusion a trapezoid rule with a linear interpolation in the extremes of cells is used to approximate integrals. Its accuracy is presented in a test problem. 1. Introduction. Mediterranean climate was described in the classic text of Barry and Chor- ley [2], where large scale processes are presented. However, very local, day to day, or hour to hour processes are not duly considered. From the perspective of atmo
