Abstract
According to the CORINE AIR inventory of emission, Castilla and Le6n is the fifth highest emitting region of SO2 at a national level. Combustion processes main contributory source accounting for approximately 75% of the total emissions. To assess the environmental impact due to pollutant activities, air quality models are powerful tools. Among the large type of models reported in the literature for acidifying compounds, we have selected the MESOPUFF II model. The model consists of a meteorological preprocessor, MESOPAC II, and a Gaussian variable-trajectory, puff superposition model. This paper presents the ground level of SC>2 and SO/ in a network covering all the region with a 20*20 knf spatial resolution. Particul
