Abstract
For the Tehran groundwater aquifer: Finite difference scheme using the Explicit Method gives good results. Forward time difference for Mathematical modelling of pollution transport has been investigated; velocities of more than 0.1 ml day give more accurate results. Central difference is applicable for the spatial domain. Results show that the trend of the pollution in the central and southern part of the city is moving toward the north. The studies show that local pumping does not solve the pollution problem. Sewage treatment is the best method of pollution control. 1 Introduction Tehran is located in the south western part of the Alborz Mountain at approximately 1300m above the sea level. The ground has a general gradient of north to south. The
