Abstract

In December 1994, thousands of migratory birds died at Silva Reservoir, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. After the environmental crisis, scientific teams were form to address the problem and take immediate practical action. This paper describes the numerical modeling of the hydrodynamic at Silva reservoir, and transport simulation of the pesticide "Endosulfan", which was apparently discharged into the waterbody.
